The Ritz-Carlton Club has been named the top fractional vacation home supplier in the Robb Report’s 21st annual ‘Best of the Best’ issue.

This month's issue of the US luxury lifestyle magazine considered the facilities, services and amenities on offer from a range of fractional suppliers, and the accolade follows a busy year for the fractional specialist.

In April, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company unveiled The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club, an evolution of The Ritz-Carlton Club offering two equity-based private membership schemes. The Home Club Membership option offers use of a titled residence at a particular property, while the deeded Portfolio Membership affords buyers access to a range of destinations and accommodations via a points system.

Peter J. Watzka, executive vice president and chief operating officer for The Ritz-Carlton Development Company, explained: “We evolved the brand to the new Ritz-Carlton Destination Club by blending the attributes of luxurious vacation homes with a heightened, flexibility, while also maintaining the exclusivity  members have come to expect.”

Later this year, Ritz-Carlton will open 78 fractional units at the Northstar-at-Tahoe ski resort near Truckee, California.
