David Lloyd Resorts will bring its mass-market fractional model to Spain next month with the launch of a new development.
Desert Springs Resort in Almeria will offer four-week shares in apartments and townhouses located alongside a championship golf course from as little as £24,000.
The former British tennis star’s company launched its first resorts in November last year and plans to build a network of fractional developments in locations across the world, including Canada, Thailand, Barbados, Cyprus and Turkey.
By offering a small fraction at low-entry point, the company hopes to target a wider audience than traditional whole ownership golf resorts. “David Lloyd Resorts uses this principle to provide individuals with the opportunity to share in, and enjoy, exclusive property ownership that may previously have been unobtainable as a sole investor,” said Simon Coaker, sales and marketing manager at Desert Springs.
Owners can exchange weeks at the Spanish resort for time in the company’s other developments. A built-in exit strategy will mean all the properties will be resold after ten years.
